Trip by Caravan en Route to Colorado

April 1879 - May 1879

In April 1879 some church members from Texas moved to Colorado. The group, accompanied by the Whites, started their journey with caravans. At their first camp between Denison and the Red River, their getting off had delayed by rains. At the second camp they were struck by a severe storm and within minutes they had several inches of water in the tent.

Both James and Ellen White spoke several times on certain places during the journey and were urged to remain longer - but they had to press on, because they still had a long way ahead of them.
