Dear Brother ___________,
It is good to hear from you again. I remember sending the Crosier material to you (though I did not remember your name).
Dear Mr Wiliam Fagal I am in touch with you again in order to have your opinion about a book named "The Kingdom of God, The Time of its establishement" by Joshiah Litch" published by Joshua Himes" 1842.
Is this book usefull to investigate about pioneers of SDA? why I am asking you about this book? because I never saw it as reference. Is Mr. Litch considered a SDA pioneer?. I have been reading this and found a very great work about the return of the Lord for the yera 1844.
Josiah Litch never became a Seventh-day Adventist, nor did he ever join with the group of Adventists after 1844 who would gradually accept the teachings that later developed into Seventh-day Adventism. The SDA Encyclopedia says that he did not accept the teaching of "conditional immortality" (our teaching about death), and he is not known to have accepted the Sabbath or the ministry of Ellen G. White. In fact, after the 1844 disappointment, he eventually rejected the idea that prophecy had pointed to 1844 at all. In light of all these things, I think we could not call him one of the Seventh-day Adventist pioneers.
None of this says anything against his book. I have not read it, so I cannot comment on its merits. But I am not at all surprised to learn from you that it has a strong message concerning 1844.
I will appreciate your help
Sincerely ___________
P.S: few months ago you sent to my a copy of Crossier article published in the "Day Star extra" to investigation purpose
Sorry I cannot be of more help, but perhaps this will be useful to you in some way. Thank you for writing, and God bless!
