Dear Elder ___________,
Thank you for contacting the Ellen G. White Estate. I will be glad to try to help you with your questions.
Dear Brethren, Please provide me with references and the guidange given by Mrs.E.G.White concerning ministers and local elders apparel for the pulpit in general and Divine Service in particular.
Below my signature I will copy for you the references dealing with this subject from the 3-volume Comprehensive Index to Mrs. White's books. I have copied the listing from the CD-ROM. The format isn't pretty when it is transferred to email, but at least the information is here. The CD-ROM has the index, and each book reference is a "hot link" to that page in the database, so it makes looking up the references very easy. But this may be of some help to you, even in this form.
I would also like to know how, when and in what manner the church board and elders board came into our organisation and their original purpose and objectives.
I did not find an answer to your question. There is some information about the early stages of our organization in the Seventh-day Adventist Encyclopedia, part of the Bible Commentary series. The Encyclopedia has recently been enlarged into two volumes. You will find articles under "Organization" and "Church," including "Church Elder." But you may not find the specific information you are looking for.
I hope this helps. Thank you for writing, and God bless!
