The Spirit’s Presence

Charismatic experiences in the Seventh-day Adventist Church

Ellen White believed that the deep moving of the Holy Spirit was characterized by calmness and dignity.

She moved the Seventh-day Adventist Church farther and farther away from the ecstatic and emotional experiences that were seen among some Millerites and forerunners of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. She did not link the Holy Spirit to these experiences.
