Life and Health Publishing House (France) / Maison D’Edition Vie et Santé (Dammarie-les-Lys, FR)

A publishing firm at Dammarie-les-Lys, France, operated under the supervision of the Euro-Africa Division. There are 54 regular employees and one apprentice. Besides books, pamphlets, and tracts, the plant regularly prints three important periodicals: one for evangelism, Signes des Temps (“Signs of the Times”); a health paper, Vie et Santé (“Life and Health”); a church paper, La Revue Adventiste (“The Advent Review”); and also Sabbath school quarterlies. Beginnings of publications in the French language can be traced to Switzerland. A French paper, L’Evangile Eternel (“The Everlasting Gospel”), was published monthly (with a few exceptions) from June 1866 to December 1868, together with various tracts, by M. B.
