Park Manor Personal Care Home (Transcona, Winnipeg, Manitoba, CA)

A 100-bed personal-care home built in 1967 and situated in Transcona, a suburb of Winnipeg, Manitoba. Park Manor is under the auspices of the Manitoba-Saskatchewan Conference of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Twenty-four-hour nursing care, occupational therapy, chaplaincy services, and resident activities are part of the services provided by a multidiscipline team that aims to maximize the well-being of residents by providing for physical, social, spiritual, and emotional needs. An effort is made to provide a homelike atmosphere in this nonprofit, government-funded facility. In 1986 an attached 60-unit seniors’ apartment complex was completed.
