Southeast Hospital / Hospital del Sureste (Villahermosa, Tabasco, MX)

A 46-bed medical institution established in Villahermosa, Tabasco, Mexico. It is one of four such institutions representing the Seventh-day Adventist Church at the national level in that country. In 1959 the decision was made to build a welfare center, which began its services along with three medical consulting offices and a waiting room. The center operated for 15 years. In 1974 the welfare center was demolished, and the first and second floors for a clinic were constructed. Since 1975 there have been many changes both in the physical plant and in personnel. A third floor was constructed, making it possible to add 23 more beds as well as space for the administrative offices, Accounting Department, and board room.
