Southwest Region Conference (Dallas, Texas, US)

A unit of church organization comprising the congregations of Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico (except San Juan County), Oklahoma, and Texas; one of the five local conferences that make up the Southwestern Union. All races make up the membership, but the majority of the constituency is comprised of the Black population of the area (3,957,986). Statistics (1990): churches, 86; members, 14,784; church schools, 11; teachers, 29. Headquarters: 2215 Lanark, Dallas, Texas. The conference forms part of the Southwestern Union Conference.
