International Health Food Association

A General Conference service organization made up of Seventh-day Adventist Church-owned food companies from around the world. The director coordinates the various phases of denominational food production and marketing activities throughout the world field. The association received its current name in 1987 when the food companies, meeting in Brazil, recommended the adoption of a name that better described the aims and objectives of the church’s food companies, which up to that time had been coordinated in their activities by the General Conference World Foods Service, which was established in 1968 by vote of the General Conference Autumn Council.
