MV Societies

Former organizations of senior and junior youth in the local Seventh-day Adventist churches, called the Young People’s Missionary Volunteer Societies. They were sponsored and guided by the General Conference Youth Department and the union and local conference youth directors. The name “Missionary Volunteer” was based on the fact that the societies were a part of the church’s world evangelism program, enlisting and guiding young people in lay activities, expressed in the Share Your Faith program.
